Workshop – Foundations of the Intercultural Approach (in French only)

Cultural identity represents a person’s sense of belonging to various groups (e.g., ethnic community, gender, socioeconomic status) that shape the identity and experience of an individual or community. This presentation will provide an introduction to the use of the intercultural approach, particularly in the research setting. Notions of identity diversity, othering, and microaggressions will be addressed. Participants will be able to deepen their reflections and knowledge in order to be better able to apply cultural safety principles in their practice.
