With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in educational psychology, Professor Allyson Gillard has held various positions in the field of sports intervention over the past seven years, including athlete and coach wellness consultant, coach and assistant sports director of a professional team. During her doctoral studies, she coordinated various research projects at the Research Chair in Safety and Integrity in Sport (SIMS). As a researcher affiliated with the SIMS Chair, her research interests focus on safety and integrity in the sporting environment, as well as the effectiveness of intervention in sports training. These interests have been shaped by her previous experience as an elite athlete and coach. Through her research and teaching, Professor Gillard aims to make a positive contribution to the Quebec sports system.
