
This project constitutes the first step in a partnership with the Quebec Ministry of Education aimed at developing, implementing, and evaluating a training program for Quebec coaches designed to prevent violence against athletes. The specific objectives of this second phase are to:
1) Develop the content of an evidence-based training program (based on Phase 1 of the ÉTIC project and scientific literature) aimed at:
- Improving knowledge about violence in sports and its manifestations;
- Demystifying and deconstructing certain prejudices surrounding violence against athletes: physical contact, consent, boundaries in the coach-athlete relationship, etc. ;
- Deconstruct beliefs regarding psychological violence;
- Promote behavioral change by equipping coaches
2) Implement a pilot project
3) Evaluate the implementation of the pilot project among:
- Those implementing the training;
- Those receiving the training.
